Vice President of Sales, North America - Specialty Ingredients - Chicago, IL
This is an exempt position.

Position Summary
The Vice President of Sales will lead the North American go-to-market strategy for ADM’s industry leading specialty ingredients business. This executive will empower the sales organization to drive revenue growth, build a robust pipeline, and expand market presence through customer driven innovation and deep strategic partnerships. This role requires a balance a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution with an extensive understanding of ingredient functionality, market trends, and customer needs. The specialty ingredients business is helping to fuel the long term success of ADM’s Nutrition segment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and execute the North American go to market strategy aligned with the Specialty Ingredients business priorities
    • Identify innovation opportunities in prioritized food segments
    • Lead sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Revenue Growth & Market Expansion
    • Deliver top-line growth through value-based selling of specialty ingredients and solutions
    • Partner closely with our commercial, CD&D (creation, design, and development), Marketing, Regulatory, R&D, and Manufacturing teams to launch new products built upon key plant-based market trends and consumer insights
    • Expand market share by enabling the development and launch of compelling new products created by our customers
  • Customer Engagement and Team Leadership
    • Set a clear vision on how to develop and sustain deep relationship with our customers
    • Lead, coach, and support a high-performing sales organization as they develop and implement strategic account engagement plans
    • Establish clear performance expectations across revenue growth, pipeline value, win rate, and customer engagement metrics and hold them accountable
    • Foster a culture of success, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement
Required Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales organization
  • Clear executive communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence internally and externally
  • Strategic thinker with deep commercial and financial acumen

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required; MBA preferred
Required Experience
  • 15 years of sales or commercial leadership in specialty food ingredients, flavors, functional ingredients or related sectors
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and leading large, geographically dispersed teams
  • Experience selling into food & beverage manufacturers (B2B focus)
  • Strong understanding of ingredient applications and formulation-driven sales

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$213,200.00 - $320,000.00

Salaried Incentive Plan

The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and a long-term incentive plan
