About The Opportunity As an Analyst, you will play a key role in driving data-informed decision-making by analyzing complex data, generating actionable insights, and presenting recommendations to business stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities that improve business performance, optimize operations, and support strategic objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will primarily support the Merchant Network team, who is responsible for signing, onboarding, retaining, and growing restaurant partners on Grubhub. Examples of business problems you will be expected to tackle include: How can we automate key reporting to empower stakeholders with a self-service analytics platform, significantly reducing time-to-insight and enabling faster, more informed decisions? Measuring the impact of various merchant actions, such as adding photos, expanding delivery boundaries, increasing open hour availability. The Impact You Will Make Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze complex datasets from various sources to identify meaningful trends, patterns, and insights. Apply statistical techniques and methodologies to extract actionable information. Insight Generation: Develop data-driven insights and recommendations that address business challenges, improve processes, and drive growth. Translate analytical findings into clear and concise business implications. Data Visualization and Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain insightful reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Tableau (preferred) or other data visualization tools to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. Presentation and Communication: Present analytical findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders, including management and cross-functional teams. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs, define analytical projects, and provide ongoing support. Address questions, handle objections, and facilitate consensus-building. Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business performance to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for optimization. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data quality, streamline analysis, and increase efficiency. What You Bring to the Table Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an analytical role or in a highly analytical and technical internship. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and financial modeling capabilities. Required: Intermediate proficiency in SQL, with experience in querying, data manipulation, and database management. Proven experience using data visualization tools, with a strong preference for Tableau. Solid understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and validation techniques. Understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and forecasting is a plus. Familiarity with Python, R, or other statistical programming languages is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret complex data. Ability to translate data into actionable insights and business recommendations. Excellent business acumen and understanding of how data can drive business value. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong presentation skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders at various levels. Ability to effectively handle objections and facilitate consensus-building. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Base Salary Illinois: $86,500 Wonder Group uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located.
