As a growing structural firm specializing in residential and commercial projects, we are always looking to add new structural design engineers to our team to keep up with client demand.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of our design team, you will collaborate with teammates, clients (architects, contractors, property owners, etc.), and other specialties (MEP, Civil, etc.) to prepare structural engineering designs, plans, and calculations for a variety of construction projects (residential, retail, hospitality, office, sports and recreation, multi-family, mixed use, adaptive re-use, education, and more).
  • Work on multiple projects at a time, in different stages (SD to CA) adhering to deadlines.
  • Utilize Revit (sometimes AutoCAD) to deliver models and detailed design drawings.
  • Complete shop drawing reviews, truss certifications, and i-joist certifications.
  • Respond to RFIs and other Construction Administration phase questions.
  • Complete site visits as needed on assigned projects and document findings.
  • Communicate and coordinate regularly with clients, supervisors and others on project status.

Education

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering required.

Qualifications / Typical Experience

  • Experience in computer applications for engineering design (AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, Enercalc, etc)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple projects.

Certification / Licensure

  • EIT (strongly preferred)
