Spend your semester driving projects, refining your professional skills, working along industry leaders, and connecting with other students from across the country.<br><br><em><strong>Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with [Your Company Name] (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa, or any other non-immigrant status).<br><br></strong></em><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong>Under the tutelage of project managers, senior project managers, assistant construction managers and/or construction managers, complete assigned projects or assist project managers in the completion of projects. Role model and demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.<br><br><ul><li>Assist project managers in the execution of their essential job functions including but not limited to the completion of pre-remodel checklists and “as built” fixture/refrigeration drawings</li><li>Assist in execution of contractor bid process</li><li>Assist in weekly tasks and job meetings during capital projects</li><li>Assist in the timely preparation and execution of equipment orders</li><li>Assist in tracking equipment orders and scheduling deliveries in accordance with construction schedule</li><li>Assist with the management of store fixture installation</li><li>Assist with project closeout (i.e. punch lists, as-builts, final invoicing, filing)</li><li>Assist in the inspection of capital projects for compliance with specifications and quality control</li><li>Coordinate reviews of refrigeration and electrical/mechanical plans with technician staff</li><li>Assist in the review of proposed change orders and their validity</li><li>Assist in the review of architecture plans for completeness and compliance with standards</li><li>Provide support to other Facility Engineering personnel, as requested</li><li>Participate in department meetings and “huddles”</li><li>Complete estimates and manage completion of minor capital projects</li><li>Complete specific assignments as requested and/or required by the co-op/intern program of the college being attended</li><li>Complete cumulative project (summary of internship accomplishments) and present to executive team or appropriate managers</li><li>Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>Minimum<br><br></strong><ul><li>Construction Management or Engineering majors, must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a preferred GPA of 3.0</li><li>Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work<br><br></li></ul><strong>Desired<br><br></strong><ul><li>Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in groups or independently </li><li>Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of information</li><li>Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present information to various levels of the organization</li><li>Ability to analyze and interpret information and apply to business needs</li><li>Commitment to providing customer service</li><li>Prior experience in a construction environment</li></ul>
